has recently installed a new state-of-the-art abrasive
waterjet cutting system. It is equipped with dual cutting
heads, a high-intensity pump, and the latest computer
technology. |

over traditional methods include: (1) increased productivity,
(2) uncanny accuracy, and (3) versatility in cutting
a variety of materials. |

Facility Expansion
Southern Aluminum and Steel
has increased its shop area to 10,000 sq. ft. of usable
fabrication space. New offices and another lay-down yard
were added during the expansion project. The facility
now contains a paint shop where quality finishes can be
applied in an eco-friendly environment. |

New Crane Installation
The new overhead bridge crane
together with our existing crane system has greatly
expanded the shop capabilities and allows us to handle
larger contract work. Other equipment includes a 250-ton
Pearson hydraulic press brake, a 10’ hydraulic
Promecam shear with a 1⁄2” mild steel capacity,
and a full-service Geka ironworker. |
