The shop facility is equipped to handle structural
steel and miscellaneous metalwork, focusing on
architecturally exposed structural steel and aluminum
products. Installation services are available,
and we will strive to meet your project goals
and work schedules.
PRODUCTS
ALUMINUM
- Much of our product line consists of structural
and decorative aluminum fabrications. This includes
heavy aluminum structures, canopies, truss systems,
support brackets, and specially designed beams
and columns. Decorative grillework and a variety
of custom-made “gingerbread” items
are also available.
STAINLESS
STEEL - Food-grade stainless steel tables
and conveyors are available, along with customized
fabrications. Stainless connection plates and
weldments are becoming more cost-efficient for
use in coastal exposures and other corrosive environments.
STRUCTURAL
STEEL - Our shop facility allows us to
fabricate structural steel members precisely and
efficiently. With the newly-installed paint shop,
we are able to turn out quality metal finishes
in an eco-friendly environment.
MISCELLANEOUS
METALS - These include the general miscellaneous
metal items necessary in commercial construction
such as steel stair pans, railings, catwalks,
and ladders. We have also contributed our skills
to historic renovations involving duplication
of earlier workmanship and materials.
CUSTOM
DESIGNS - Design and fabrication of one-of-a-kind
items completes the list of products available
through Southern Aluminum and Steel. Some examples
of custom work include steel forms for pre-cast
concrete stairs, special-use job boxes, and decorative
wrought-iron pieces.
BUILDING
COMPONENTS - Construction components such
as bar joists, decking, stair nosings, and bar
grating can be obtained through us.
METALWORK
FINISHES - Carbon steel galvanized products
and specialty coatings for aluminum fabrications
are available on an as-needed basis. Climate conditions
in the Southeastern area often warrant the use
of more durable, two and three-part finish coatings,
which are also included in our product line.
