As we enter our eleventh year in the metal fabrication business, Southern Aluminum and Steel is in a position to offer commercial construction contractors in Florida and surrounding areas even greater capabilities. The newly completed expansion project has essentially doubled the fabrication space.

With the new abrasive waterjet cutting system, Southern Aluminum and Steel can produce quality cuts at reasonable cost compared with other cutting options.

Our waterjet has dual-head capability which allows for double productivity while maintaining the accuracy and precision that sets waterjet cutting apart. We can accommodate 8’ x 12’ sheets, and you can expect accuracy up to 0.005-inch. The tolerance is held throughout the thickness of the material. You will have an intricate, clean cut.

Since aluminum is our primary focus, it follows that Southern Aluminum and Steel would choose a waterjet cutting system. Waterjet and aluminum are a natural fit. Come by and see the results.

The addition of another overhead bridge crane (10 ton) facilitates the handling and movement of heavy and/or large-sized building components such as steel beams, columns, and trusses. Also, we have installed a double-mitre bandsaw capable of cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals 60 degrees right or left. This added equipment, along with the new paint shop, allows for both capability and flexibility in meeting the needs of today’s commercial contractors.

In assessing the strengths of Southern Aluminum and Steel, it is important to underline the attention given to every customer by providing the highest quality of fabrication work while emphasizing our client service approach to your construction scheduling deadlines. One of our greatest strengths is the experience and ability to review preliminary architectural plans and present possible changes or adjustments to assist you in determining the bottom line. We welcome the opportunity to offer problem-solving ideas to help you maintain a smooth construction process.
